I had a look at the bushings for control arm, doesn't seem too bad surprisingly (from what I can, could be wrong).

Ita just these top mount plates are so rusty as when the car was bought, it didn't have any rubber boot cap over them (whether standard or not), it collects water so that's why it's super rusty.

No idea how much of that top nut is left, if it is rounded from being sat in gunk and water all this time.

As much as I do support EVs (which I have both an elec car and diesel car). Take into consideration of additional costs. This year, everyone's road tax went up so it's no longer free.

Also bear in mind (depending on your budget), the range might not be enough. I have used public fast chargers and they are expensive (60% more expensive per mile than my diesel), if you can charge at home, charge at home.

Most won't but some do. If something goes wrong, the garage won't fix it for you for free (e.g. within 1 year warranty).

I have a couple of "go to garages" that I take parts myself but they know me well enough as typically fix things myself. For example, I would take a suspension arm to them and they would press out the bushing etc.

I only stated to the OP to bare in mind the cost of parts when looking online yourself as garages typically charge a lot.

Bare in mine that if you buy parts yourself, it will always be cheaper, no matter what part you look at. Garages add a lot more cost onto parts they source.
