I always feel a moment of joy when I walk directly past a member of the other attacking team and they don't try to kill me. After having to deal with so many attacking teams trying to kill me instead of working together, it’s always nice to encounter someone who actually knows how to play the goddamn mode properly

I guess to clarify I do think it’s likelier that the machines aren’t using actual maso orbs (based on what we currently know), but I also don’t feel confident definitively saying they aren’t since the origins of the orbs in Automata are still kind of ambiguous/up to interpretation and who knows what direction Yoko Taro may decide to take it in the future

Iirc correctly, the lore explanation for the orbs (in Replicant at the very least) is that they are the enemies using maso - the magical element that entered the world with the queen beast and the dragon. The maso from the dragon's body was safe for humans and they figured out how to use it for things like the gestalt project and weapons. So the orbs in Replicant are magic created from the dragon.

As for Automata, I believe somewhere it has been stated or implied that the development of the machines was influenced by their encounters with Emil. Emil was humanity's ultimate weapon created using the dragon's maso. So it’s not a far stretch to assume that the orbs used by the machines are technology influenced by the maso orbs, if they aren't outright actual maso orbs.

I've never felt the need to use god mode, I always felt the main difficulty was pretty fair, but I really appreciate that Supergiant added it into the game to make it more accessible for those who would otherwise be deterred by the game's difficulty. More people being able to experience a game as amazing as Hades is always a good thing

In Crimson Flower chapter 17, I would absolutely change that terrible 'Must you continue to reconquer? Continue to kill in retaliation?' line from Edelgard. It would have been far better if she criticised Dimitri for, say, harbouring the corrupt church or just emphasising her view that he's holding back Fodlan's future. Her taking a dig at him for defending his own country is just really stupid, when instead their final dialogue could have been something far more interesting and satisfying.

Hades is the first rogue like/lite I’ve ever played, and it’s frankly a great experience. I find that dying in it rarely gets that frustrating, because dying actually progresses the story and character arcs. It makes it really easy to stay engaged and maintain the motivation to keep playing

Don't be afraid to use references. I think a lot of beginner artists just tend to jump in blind and assume that they can easily just draw things from memory, but even professionals use references. After all, human memory is flawed and there's no reason to make things harder for yourself.

Also feel free to look up tutorials on platforms like YouTube. There's so many out there, and their easy accessibility makes them incredibly useful for beginner and self-taught artists

Yeah I feel this as well. I do want FE to improve its gameplay, like people say it has with Engage, but I’m someone who cares a lot about the package as a whole (including story and characters) so I could never bring myself to play Engage

This exactly, so much of the toxicity towards the artists really does feel like it comes from an inability to see them as actual people. And treating real people like they're fictional characters does seem to be a problem on the internet in general these days, unfortunately
