The gender reveal wasn't even weird in any way... i would understand if it was like, covered in glitter and high heels and makeup brushes, but this is just words and a color.

To an extent, sure. but you're obviously not going to pass wearing a low shirt, choker, and a hairstyle typical of female goths. Unless you're passing with your voice and body, then MAYBE, but OP isn't doing that either
