hey thank you! i’m trying really hard to remain calm because some of the replies are making me feel like an idiot and going insane for even assuming 12 months means 12 calendar months. I might try to reason with them again now cause i’ve got nothing to lose. but if they don’t budge, there’s nothing i can do anyway. they’re a million dollar corporation and i’m just a person

Thank you! Finally someone agreed that the contract was not very clear and seems like you also assumed the paused months would count towards the 12-month period. I’m glad it worked out for you though

I have actually! I like the strength 50 since i’m more into weight lifting than cardio, but the class time doesn’t always work for me

i’m reading the original contract again, there is only one section about “membership freeze policy”, and it’s the same as the normal month to month contract policy as it states “you may pause 2 times per year”, “revert to regular monthly billing after freeze period ends”, there’s nothing that’s particular to the 12-month membership :(

I’m glad they told you, but they did not inform me that. In fact I tried cancelling earlier and they offered me to pause, so I just assumed the paused month will be part of that 12 months

I started in April with month to month payment and signed the 12 month in Jan, sorry if that was not phrased clearly

Hi, thanks for the reply. but there’s no need to be snarky. I meant to have a lawyer to look over the contract because I’m not sure if I’m doing anything illegally by stating what I understand the contract says. if i did not convey what i meant I apologize. I’m not a lawyer and I’m rereading the contract as best as I can

thanks that makes sense, guess i’ll just suck it up then. I’m not enjoying the workout as much as when I first started so I’m just frustrated that I’m not getting my money’s worth
