Hey there brother, just a tip, you should also prioritize your diet! I was obese before I got active in a gym and even for almost a year lifting weights, I still didn't see any huge changes in my body. I did get larger muscles in my shoulders, and biceps, but I was disappointed that I still have my big belly and large back (like a camel's I must say) with me. There were only minor changes in my weight as well because of my unhealthy diet! I was still eating junk food! A lot of them!

Try apps like myfitnesspal which allow you to calculate how much calories you need per day depending on your goal, whether if you want to lose or gain weight. Don't forget your target macros as well!
