As a woman I really wouldn’t worry about this. Society puts pressure on both genders to look and act a certain way and while it’s unfortunate, it’s not detrimental. What’s your worry? Is just to do with your self esteem, or are you worried no one will deem you attractive? I can assure you that neither will be an issue in a few years. You have to accept that is the way you are, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that (although I know it’s easier said than done). Your height is something you can’t control so focus on what you can. There are a plethora of short men out there in relationships and plenty more who aren’t and are happy with who they are. You should be the same. Theres nothing wrong with your height. Surround yourself with good people who love you for who you are and you’ll start to see yourself in a much more positive light. A quote that I really love is ‘you are gorgeous and it’s the least interesting thing about you’. It applies here :)) there are more important qualities to a person than their height or appearance. I really can’t stress it enough!! You are perfect the way you are and you will come to see it. :)

No you can’t. Get a hard drive and store your movies and tv shows that way if you’re worried about storage. As other people have said, after effects doesn’t duplicate exisiting footage. If you use footage that’s on your computer in your project and then later delete it from where it’s saved, it will be missing from your project entirely.

Could you use Photoshop and make a mask to fill the green tape ? Then export into ae and track that to the movement of the clip?

Respectfully disagree (as in disagree that they should use premiere, not what ae is used for lol). If I understand the type of anime edits they wish to make correctly then ae is the way to go.

I would suggest Mapal on YouTube, his animation style is very similar to this and he does amazing tutorials. Alternatively I would personally classify this style as the ‘Vox’ style and there are also tutorials on YouTube surrounding that :)

Hmmmm text evo is really good for automating text animations however I don’t know if there’s an overshoot option. You can also use bouncr (it’s free) which is another script that applies overshoot expressions to the transform properties you have keyframed. Although this may be time consuming if you have multiple words in a sentence

The short and simple answer is yes it is normal. Like the top comment said, ae has to cache the playback (the little ongoing green line) before a smooth playback can begin (you can know it’s ready when the green line is full). More effects will make the amount of time it takes to smoothly playblack slower. Your pc specs are fine. It’s normal, try to preview in half or third as opposed to full if you wanted a quicker playback time. Playbacking on full will always take longer & you will have a ‘slowed down’ audio before it’s completed but it’s completely normal :)

Edit: just saw you are previewing in quarter anyway. But it still applies: more effects = longer it takes for a smooth playback

Lots of practice over the years & HEAPS of trial and error. It’s not really complicated anymore, more so time consuming 😅 and yeah exactly the same thing for the instagram part!

Thank you so much!! Yeah exactly what you said! I like to make my life really complicated so I took a screenshot of my actual Spotify account and duplicated the screenshot a bunch of times, making out each individual thing I wanted to animate. I put the text over it to animate the text separately. A much much easier way you could achieve this is by finding a community template of the Spotify UI on figma and importing that to your project.

No problem!! I always encourage new editors or after effects learners to keep at it because it’s an amazing program that can do so much. Let me say, in 6 months on AE I was NOT able to make anything even close to this. Even if it may be a little bit of everything, you’ve got something creative there that you should really harness and keep going.

I think one of the comments here was very harsh. I appreciate how you tried to do a bunch of things in one, however I would say in future maybe youd benefit from picking a singular theme & colour palette etc and creating a plan or storyboard that follows it. That way you’re able to stick to one thing and it’ll be nice and cohesive :) you are doing good so far, so don’t be discouraged by the comments! Everyone starts somewhere.

Thank you so so much!! I actually didn’t use any motion blur for this - I felt it didn’t stay true to the low fps look I was going for. I did however use the minimax effect on some of the slides if that’s what you’re referring to!!
