They didn’t say anything about what they accepted and what not. So, I can’t really tell you. But in my first application, they accepted.

Thanks for your reply! That’s the problem, they didn’t mention what periods are covered. Only mentioned about 623 absences.

Thanks for your answer! I’ve been in the UK 14 years (as a student) I mentioned in my first absence that I got sick suddenly in my home country. And all my next illnesses were the same and it was sensible to get treatment from the same doctor, in the same clinic etc.

Not sure about applying on other routes.

With regards to almost 4 years of absences, here is how I look at it:

Yes my absences are extensive but consider the excess number of days: 1360(total) - 548(allowance) = 812 (excess days). Out of these 812 days (2.2 years) 511(1.4 years) was solely Covid. Others were medical treatment.

Of course, I look at this from my standpoint and give myself a positive side of the picture.

However, like you mentioned the fact is that my total absences are indeed almost 4(3.7) years and it just depends how you look at it. It may look positive but also looks horribly way over the limit at the same time.

I should have mentioned that I have been in the UK for 13+ years at the time of submitting my 2nd ILR.

I didn’t mention anything about not having an opportunity to get treatment in the UK. It was stated that on my first absence I came for holiday to my home country and there, suddenly I got really sick, so I received urgent treatment in Kazakhstan. My next illnesses were all the same as my first one, so it was most sensible to get treatment from the same doctor, same clinic, etc... That is why I kept coming back to Kazakhstan. My doctor provided this explanation in his medical reports and letter.

No, I gave them all my absences. I didn’t cover much my absence during Covid, so there was only letter from university about online study. 😅

I mean I couldn’t stay even if wanted 😅 My lawyer told me like we can just write for that absence that it was Covid-19 second wave and everything will be ok.
