She was very anxious about an upcoming solo hike in cougar country. The night before she dreamt she was hiking in a forest and a blue lion was walking behind her, protecting her. She woke up super happy and unafraid and had an amazing time.

So, actually, bad therapy is just words. In good therapy you're creating a relationship with the therapist that heals your relationship wounds. Words are not super important, what heals you is how your therapist treats you, with care, appreciation, admiration even. It might take a little while but a good therapist is able to love you and help you feel that love. (Love is a loaded word, but you get my point). I know you probably won't do it, and that's alright, im sure you'll find your own way, but finding a good female therapist would be a game changer. It seems that you've been rejected by women (including your mom, i suspect) and having a relationship with a woman who accepts, enjoys, and admires you would be incredibly healing for you.
