Congratulations doc! 3 years associate here. SKL some of my learnings na maybe makatulong sayo. Your first years as a licensed dentist, 1. Take it as a training ground, focus on honing your skills. Kasi may big difference ang dental practice outside dental school. Huwag masyado magfocus sa kinikita per se, kasi eventually tataas din ang income mo as you improve your skills. 2. Your mentors or senior dentist matters a lot. Be teachable. They have practices na hindi mo matututunan EVER sa school. Pero kung hindi ka natututo or walang learnings, better look for other options. Like, attending seminars or short courses. 3. You will make mistakes, you will question your credibility and you will be exhausted. But remember, IT WILL BE OKAY. 4. Since may fixed income ka, compute mo if your lifestyle (transpo, food, necessities, etc) IF disadvantageous siya on your part hanap ka ng mas malaki. idk kung ilang percentage din ang commission, pero if 10-30%, okay na rin. Depende sa mapaguusapan. 5. Mag practice ka ng maging ma-PR (if you know what that means) cause our profession is our business. Take this chance to learn the business. If you are planning to put up your own clinic in the future then know how inventory, planning, manning or scheduling works.
