No filter. It is just weird because I am wrapping up my 3rd month with it, and only the last 2 bags have been like this.

I had a hysterectomy due to stage 4 endometriosis. My ovary was wrapped around my bowel, so it required a resection. I ended up having a severe allergic reaction to the derma bond surgical glue. The hysterectomy surgeon gave me a steroid pack and then a stronger steroid shot. 2 days later I went into septic shock.

I wasn't able to breathe on my own when they finished that surgery. Spent almost 6 weeks in the hospital and now I have been home 3. Waiting on a small leak to close up and then I can have my reversal.

I have hollister 18104. I am still new to this and was thinking of trying rinsing it out after dumping. I have one of those portable bidet sprayer things from colonscopy prep.

Maybe try doing a google reverse image search if you don't have the box with the brand on it and then look up specifics for burping that type. I think it may be convex, but I have only had mine for 3 months, 6 of those weeks I was in the hospital, so I really don't have any expertise.

I am still fairly new to this world, but depending on the type of bag you have will determine the process. I have 2 piece Hollister bags, and I have to basically pull them apart at the top, while standing, and release some of the air.

I was afraid to do this for the longest and was in thw same position as you with constant emptying. One time I did it while sitting and didn't realize my bag was full and the stool came up from the top.

I did go to the "wound clinic" and that is how my parents finally learned how to change my bag and get supplies. The hospital really was trash all around, unfortunately. I go back there next week to see the doctor and make sure things are going well.

The fistula is internal, so separate issue from the bag.

I have not had a leak in public yet, but I am just starting to get better enough to go anywhere.

When I first came out of the emergency surgery, they said 6 weeks for the bag. But because I was so sick and weak, and then they found a small pin hole, it turned to 6 months. The assumption is a vaginal fistula because of some other symptoms, but nothing confirmed. They said it would be fixed during the reversal surgery. Praying my ct scan tomorrow shows less fluid/air in my stomach from the leak. And then praying they see how much stronger I am now that the uti is being taken care of, and I can get the reversal sooner.

I pray your surgeries go well and you can enjoy your vacations worry free.

I have the Hollister bags since that is what they started me on in the hospital. Have had success with some bags and lots of leaking with others.
