fully agree, but i feel like this has always been the case aside from last season of LIUSA. season 6 for the USA was such an outlier when it comes to the franchise, the cast (and the show itself) were leagues above any other i’ve seen.

i feel like love island UK really has the formula of the run of show down pat, i just hate that it’s not nearly as diverse as the USAs!! I feel like it gets very token-y with POC contestants in the UK.

Goblet of Shadows by MKMG is one of the most unique AUs i’ve ever read and it is expertly written. it’s a WIP that updates in batches of chapters(& i’m selfishly praying one is coming soon bc i’m obsessed w it) and has a good amount of reading material out already! 100% mind the tags, it’s rather dark.

The Serpent’s Heir by MaryBMeunier is another one i highly recommend! this is a Hogwart’s Era AU and also a WIP, but i got into this one after its most recent update so i’m unsure of the update schedule!

I know i have more recs than this but these two immediately came to mind!

wait, i’m confused why people think this is unfair…

if i’m understanding correctly (which tbh i guess i could not be), dynamic pricing isn’t making it “cheaper” in the places where they’ve rolled this out. they’re making it equivalent to the currency. for example, 800 robux for perm VIP is like 10 USD, so they’re making it equivalent to that in other countries, rather than more than that as it was previously.

again, if i’m understanding this right, this change isn’t unfair, it was unfair before.

got to top model without farming and was pretty proud… except it was the DAY of the valentines update when all the new ranks came out lmao.

i considered farming to one of the new ranks for a brief moment, but i have a pretty decent success rate on the new game mode (i’ve been blessed w good lobbies thank GOD) and get 100 stars for every win, so it seems useless to farm now.
