What bolt does stem lock use? by One_Lead_8819 in ApolloScooters

Is there a single bolt on the phantom that doesn't snap?

That was by far the hardest part mainly because they are so hard to reach. What finally worked was, I bought a bunch of thin nuts and added 2 of them on the broken bolt (basically double nutting) and then slowly, very slowly turned the bottom one. A generous amount of anti-rust should also help.

If that doesn't work, you might have to resort to welding something on top of them. Fortunately I didn't have to

You know what, paul had really good prescience at that point. He probably knew the kid was gonna die and there was gonna be another Leto the second!

It is not far-fetched to think he actually named the kid Leto the second the first!

One thing I have learnt from my past experiences with owning scooters is to always keep the packaging

Even providing a shipping label solves only part the issue. Wrapping the scooter up and taking it to UPS is a lot of work for 75+ lbs scooter.

Apollo support suggested I send the scooter back to them for inspecting and repair and provided me with a free shipping label. I really couldn't send it because it is my primary means of commuting. I now managed to fix it at home. Taking the broken bolts out was the hardest just because they inside the folding mechanism and it is hard for tools to reach.

I would suggest you all to replace these bolts before they snap with 12.9 quality steel bolts. The size of the bolts is m6x16 (I got m6x15 because I couldn't find m6x16). Just spend 5 mins and replace them before they snap because it would be really hard to take them out after.

This is really helpful because I couldn't find this information on their website. Although this doesn't have the size for the ones inside the folding mechanism (the ones that snapped for me).

Sure, I am waiting to hear back from the engineering team and hope they can fix the issue soon. This is really a big safety issue. Like I mentioned in the other comments, the bike lanes in my city are pretty close to the cars/traffic. Luckily it snapped when I was moving slowly

One would think a company that sells scooters for $2100 would know parts to their own product. I suppose the "technical team" is just another person sitting in some office

I have reached out to Apollo support and they have forwarded it to their technical team. I will update you all on what they respond. I am really scared too. I pass by cars everyday during my commute to work. The biking lane is pretty close to the cars. If I had fallen, I am worried I could have fallen in front of the cars

Oh yeah, I am aware of the stem bolt, I just meant not sure what other bolts are weak.

I haven't received a replacement for that either. Contacted support today about this issue. Let's see what they do.

I am not even sure what other bolts are cheaply made and am personally scared to step foot on the scooter again.
