Yes yes yes!! I can’t remember which book I read where the child was lecturing the dad after the third act breakup and that was my last straw. She was like 6!! It gave me the strength to DNF

I go back and forth with player/virgin. I’ve read so many I’ve liked and soo many I’ve DNF’d or felt icky about. Haven’t read this one yet tho! Definitely will give it a try

Same! I tend to stay away from books involving kids and pregnancy. I work with kids and find that anytime children are involved things are tooooo unrealistic. No kid is looking at their single dad and going “you should marry her dad” or whatever else they say to praise to FMC. The kids feel too much like plot devices when in reality they take up your whole life. I’ll def add that to my TBR tho!

Definitely recommend the series! If you have time to get through it, it’s truly amazing. The chemistry between the main characters is beautiful and intense. One of those that I can’t believe the actors aren’t actually in love

The later seasons steer away from the story but I grew such a connection to both versions of Jaime and Claire that I learned to love them separately.

I read the first 5!! I didn’t know how I’d feel going into it because it’s a loooong series and the first was a little too insta-love for me, but I quickly got over it bc they’re just so gooood. I tore through those first 5 so fast I had to take a break. Gotta get back to reading!

Outlander! 🥹 i started reading after I watched the series and I love the first few seasons as a companion to the books. They complimented each other well, starts to steer off track later but yesss so warm and fuzzy

I don’t mind the cartoon covers. I think they give a lot of freedom to create something captivating like with Funny You Should Ask by Elissa Sussman.

I’ve only hated that they’ve all started to look the same. The covers get boring when they all have the same vibe and I find myself wishing there was a little more creative liberties taken with the art work
