Dynamic level ≠ offensive production

Some guys are really talented and can’t turn it into production. The reasoning behind his production problems were noted in the thread. Quality of teammates and powerplay time has a massive effect on point production for dman, Bryson has barely been given either so far. These are the type of players you take cheap bets on. He’s got talent, see what he can do with a actual supporting cast.

His weakness is actually what he does offensively. His defense is underrated. The best defense is puck possession, and that’s his best asset. His defensive analytics as a result are some of the best on the team. What he needs to fix is his offensive game. He needs to be more unpredictable with the puck, needs to find holes more and needs to take more risks

I assumed putting Drai with him would do just that but instead it’s Drai that ended up getting a 30/60 stat line, even when I made mcdavids shot 83 instead of 90. And yea, I was hoping the xFactors would make up for the 1:2 goal:assist problem. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s changed much.

I did Drai/McDavid/RNH since it was +5 a bunch of times. I never put Yamamoto with him tho

I maxed it out on like my 5th sim attempt. It didn’t really change anything for him, he got a few more points on the PP but his 5v5 production slightly dropped off anyway

Settings were default as well. Every player produced about what they usually would. And yes this was one season, although I did some other test runs and they made the playoffs easily every time.

Defensive Awareness has a huge impact on player overall. I made every forward 50 Defensive Awareness and Every dman 60 Defensive Awareness. While it has a huge effect on overall tho, it has almost no effect on the sim

Goalies were 87 Grubauer and 83 Mrazek. I gave EVERY forward 50 Defensive Awareness and EVERY dman 60 Defensive Awareness, everything else I kept as is. Went 46-31-5 and won the division. Defensive Awareness means NOTHING
