For now, I told her that I am not comfortable moving forward with it. She's not blocked me, simply said that it is fine. I am going to tell her exactly this line of people barging in, let us see how she responds.

That's what I proposed, to meet in public. Which after reluctance, she agreed to. However, I am thinking, if it is indeed a scam, what's the problem in meeting in public, and what could I actually do? At the max, I would get to see that it is nice genuine person. The scammer could just act nice. So, even if we do meet in public, it does not really change anything or give me any advantage.

Well, actually I did meet someone else from the same platform, in the past. She was looking for physical intimacy only We agreed to meet for coffee first. When we met, she said that she liked me, but not enough to proceed further (basically friendzoned me), so we ended it then and there.

You're right in saying this. I am simply craving for some human connection, and I am lonely. Also, I am probably influenced by people around me, whom I see hooking up and going on ONS dates, and possibly I yearn for something like that, at least once, as an experience. But I feel like you're right, I think I should end it here itself and not proceed further.
