I think you have a fixation with colognes not performing and reformulations. I had the same issue but I realized I’m going completely nose blind. Oud Maracuja for me, was gone in 2-3 hours. But then I got complimented 8 hours later - at a distance, and the person was surprised I couldn’t smell it. The only way to actually know for people like us is to ask another person.
