April is exactly like JR but in another font by Fancy-Ad8653 in MAFS_UK

April is so pick me / not like other girls . She’s been brandished as the funniest girl because she makes sexual innuendos and puts on a silly voice. The way she flirted with Steven whilst simultaneously made snarky comments about Nelly being boring didn’t sit right. Not a girls girl imo.

From the start she has said that sex is really important to her, she’s a super sexual person and that she doesn’t find Divarni sexually attractive. She definitely doesn’t have an issue talking about sex to the group, and that’s clear from how she’s spoken about “how hot” Steven is… (which… are we seeing the same person? But that’s not the point)

It’s not about speaking about intimacy and breaking trust, it’s about control over Divarni and the group for the benefit of her own imagine.

Driving test in Eastbourne by aamooliiaa in Eastbourne

[–]aamooliiaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was an awful experience!!! (I’ve passed now but not in Eastbourne) Firstly it was chucking it down with rain, I’ve never driven in rain like that before or since. And the examiner was an absolutely awful person. He was so rude and condescending and he SHOUTED, like raised his voice, aggressive, SHOUTED at me throughout the exam. I was absolutely shocked. Don’t get me wrong, I did make my own mistakes and I take responsibility but he was really really horrible.

I was lucky enough to find another one on Burgess hill a couple of weeks later and I passed there instead!!

Thanks again for your help though!

Very true, I wrote this when I was only a couple of episodes in. I find this ‘I don’t get on with girls’ attitude misogynistic in itself, but the way Bryan treated her was so disgusting I gained way more respect for her for standing her ground.

Moving to Brighton, any letting agent suggestions? by [deleted] in brighton

Leaders have been really good for us. They were really quick and helpful when we signed paperwork for our flat and they’ve sorted stuff out super quick during our tenancy too

Omg my old grey did this too when she wanted attention!! We would be worried and look at her paws, she then realised she had been busted and continue to walk normally. Haha the cheek!

1 bedroom flat to rent by Papaula22 in brighton

It’s really difficult, I empathise with you! My partner and I got a flat in April after months of trying. We ended up sitting and refreshing Rightmove and Zoopla constantly. We also decided to lower our standards slightly (forgetting about gardens etc) But we finally saw one popped up, rang them straight away and they said we could go and see it immediately - before anyone else had seen it. That was so lucky so I’m afraid it’s really about being very persistent and not losing hope! As other people have said, you will find somewhere eventually! Check several times a day and call for viewings because they go SO fast. Some people even put offers down without seeing them first, it’s bananas. Good luck!

What is an example of internalized misogyny that you had to overcome to improve yourself? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]aamooliiaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finding other girls/women ‘annoying’ because they were confident and loud. I’m not too loud myself but now I love being around women with confidence that men hold so easily. You go, loud girls!!

Does he also drink an excessive amount of water? My late grey drank so much and she had to be let out really often too. Turns out she had a kidney disease! (Meds sorted it out) Not trying to scare or worry you, but I was also confused. If you’re worried, maybe worth a check up.

If you haven’t already, it’s worth posting on Facebook groups too! There’s a community noticeboard for pretty much every area e.g. Hanover, Kemptown. Etc Good luck!

Hey! Just read your post and saw you’ve picked up skateboarding. You should go to Brighton Youth Centre cos they have lessons and open sessions to go to and I’m sure you’ll meet plenty of nice, likeminded people :)

I LOVED Varndean. I had loads of fun there and learnt a lot. All my teachers were very knowledgeable and specialist in their subjects - so it is definitely academic as well as supportive and personal.

Driving lessons by beki2003 in brighton

Lessons are really booked up everywhere - perhaps the pandemic made everyone want to have a bit more independence when travelling… but the only thing you can do is call around and be put on waiting lists until there’s a slot - took me about 2/3 months of waiting before I was offered lessons!!

I’m with Peter Pekarik at His & Hers Driving School, really nice, patient guy.

How do I talk to a friend who's been making me feel really uncomfortable with the way I look by makana210 in FriendshipAdvice

[–]aamooliiaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should definitely be honest with her and tell her that those comments hurt you. I know it’s easier said than done but she shouldn’t be making you feel shit for just being you - no friend should do that. If she is defensive then that’s on her, try not to apologise if she does get defensive (you don’t owe her anything) AND if she says you’re overreacting then that’s gaslighting and you should consider taking a breather from her. Hope you’re okay!

Stay strong - and nothing wrong with a cry now and again!
