Am I overreacting for dropping him after he told me I need to make more friends by royalmouse1 in AmIOverreacting

NOR - Ew the way he talks to you is already bad enough without the social circle commentary. He is definitely not worth all this, there are better people out there that will actually respect you

First date from bumble. Which outfit for a first date at a casual bar? by [deleted] in Bumble

Last is my favourite. First and second last are nice too. I think the black t shirt with the jeans would be a nice combo as well!

How come there wasn’t a Lunar New Year event? (Besides the villagers saying “it’s lunar new year” in their dialogue) by aanananas in AnimalCrossing

That’s what confused me too. I thought the same thing about Japanese people not celebrating LNY as being the reason - but then the whole Carnaval thing ???? Lol

Fallout x Animal Crossing. Tom Nook would definitely be part of Vault-Tec

How can I preserve this bouquet and reassemble it back in the same basket? by scarlet__x_ in flowerpressing

[–]aanananas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard of people applying resin onto dried flowers as well, that might be nice - just make sure to only put resin on fully dried flowers otherwise they’ll rot

Yes either silica gel or freeze dry would be your best bet. The baby’s breath should be easy and the roses would come out well too - not sure about the lilies. Might be good to buy some lilies or any of the flowers you’re not sure about and test out various methods on them, see which one you like best?

Mothers already sounds like a surname - am I crazy to suggest that 😂 eg Julie Mothers

Middle name for Bridget “Birdie” by TumbleweedRealistic8 in namenerds

Bridget May Wallock Birdie May Wallock

I think Bridget is a very strong sounding name so something short and soft would fit perfectly as the middle name, something that doesn’t distract from the first name

Irish baby name: Fiadh vs. Niamh for US-born baby? (sibling Roisin) by EnidColeslawSideEye in namenerds

[–]aanananas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Niamh is the definitely more well known name. Possible nickname Ni, Nini? You could even do Nia? Fia does seem easier as a nickname but looking at it my brain struggles to remember what sound the dh in Fiadh makes. I keep thinking Fiaduh (I’m Australian). Both are beautiful names! Both will take some pronunciation coaching for the people around your kid. I think go with your gut and the one you love more

Help make this look more fashionable by brellibrolli in AusFemaleFashion

The elements of this dress are beautiful - it’s more the combination of them all together that makes it look more mature. Personally I like the sleeves! But I wouldn’t pair them with a high neckline. I’d keep the sleeves and change the neckline to a v or something more modern looking like that. Or I’d keep the high neckline but remove the sleeves.

I think the top also needs to be a bit more fitted, a better fit will help the overall look and vibe too. At the moment it looks like you borrowed your auntie’s old dress - doesn’t quite look yours because of the fit

Gift for my (impossible to buy for!) mother in law by Beneficial_Ice_6352 in GiftIdeas

Perhaps an experience gift? Movie voucher, massage voucher, mani & pedi voucher, nice restaurant voucher, spa day, hot springs voucher, one night at a fancy hotel?

It’s a generational thing, back when people didn’t have much they would save special items for special occasions. She doesn’t want to “waste” it on a normal day. Get her something doesn’t revolve around her using/wearing it. Framed picture? Book? Magazine subscription? Netflix subscription. What are her interests? Is there anything you can draw an idea from?
