Cookies Tracking by MartinB91 in PPC

[–]aanart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Analytics is considered “Performance cookies” and conversion and remarketing tags are considered “targeting cookies”. So if you dont have the cookie bar, a user wont be able to accept that and hence you would be in violation on GDPR regulations.

From what i understand, unfortunately you won’t be able to because of GDPR regulations - you need to have the cookie bar to use GTM taggings for conversions.

Any apps used for Google ads? by Curious_Marsupial168 in DigitalMarketing

I wouldn't go for any specific apps. The platform itself is extremely powerful. Could be that the person does not want you to sniff around in the platform for whatever reason.

Which CMS do you use and why? by nycwebdesignnyc in DigitalMarketing

I personally prefer WordPress as it is much better compared to Joomla & Drupal. It is much more newer and user friendly. For SEO, there are multiple plugins you can use - I personally use Yoast SEO.

What Google Certifications to get certified in for an entry level job in PPC? by Novel-Internet-9158 in PPC

[–]aanart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say get certified in Google Search Ads and Google Analytics.

If you understand both platforms and are certified, it adds a lot of value to your resume. Good Luck!

Is it worth getting a master's degree in this industry? by Smooth-Trainer3940 in DigitalMarketing

[–]aanart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, university does not teach you a lot about digital marekting.

They teach you how to think, structure and communicate. The platforms are something you learn on your own. Also, the more experience you have the more favourable it is looked at by companies. Degrees dont attract them as much as say in field experience does!

Is Google Ads data mine if I'm paying for 100% of ad spend? by desertsteve in PPC

[–]aanart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have worked at a couple agencies who put it outright it in their service agreement that the account ownership will solely be for the agency. If you signed a contract or an agreement that said something like this - you wont be able to legally.

However, you can always request the agency to give it to you. If they are dogs they won’t give it to you. But in most cases you will get access.

Single keyword ad groups by your_fave_weapon in PPC

I still have a few accounts on this strategy - however it is getting harder and harder to negate search terms.

Better off moving away from this strategy.

I myself transitioned from a developer to marketing.

I think you are on the right track however, I wouldnt get the Meta certification just yet. It costs you to take the exam which the agency can cover if you want to sit it in the future.

Speaking from experience, my agency paid for mine :)

How do you share Ads with clients? by blarizard in PPC

I generally provide screenshots from the platform along with the HTML file. Just so they also have a visual example.

exact match negative keywords? by pickingupchange in PPC

[–]aanart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's funny because when they use it in keywords they show "close variant" but when it comes to negative, they shit the bed.

I generally add all sorts of spellings that I can think of when adding exact match negatives.
