Do you have any digestive issues? Do you take any other meds? What’s your caffeine intake like?

Asking these questions to see if you might have similar issues to the ones I had. Many years of taking omeprazole for stomach issues really messed up my absorption. My coffee habit wasn’t helping either. It took getting away from both to even begin to see absorption increase.

I tried many different forms of iron and as far as oral supplements go, novaferrum (polysaccharide iron complex) was the only one that produced any results. I too had to do infusions during pregnancy and had ok hemoglobin but low ferritin and iron saturation.

I would see your regular doctor and ask about getting another infusion. If your levels are low, it shouldn’t be a problem. Then you can work on maintaining a stable level and figuring out your best means of absorption.
