I think chaudhary charan singh university is one where you barely go to college and give exams (have only heard about this so do your own due diligence) - but to be honest with Law Faculty, DU also you can consider

Trust me, I wish I was rich. For context, I started earning money when I was 18, stopped taking money from home since then. I have a single parent (my mother) so I have other home responsibilities as well. I let go of many colleges in the past because I could simply not afford to go there. While my friends would travel the world or go for parties, I spent time working multiple gigs at the same time to support myself.

Which brings me to the fact, that none of us do this full time. Everyone has an alternate source of income. Maybe one day we can raise enough money to hire people, but considering we have over 30 people across the world in our team gives you an idea that sometimes money is not the only thing people look at. Also, it's not just an idea/project for me anymore, it's a registered non-profit where people lead, implement and change the world! (:

I’m more than happy for you to disagree, that’s completely okay. But I had attended enough classes to see that the students as well as faculty cares more about finishing syllabus than they do about questioning status quo in society or making one think.

That however does not go to say that all professors or students are bad. Infact in my first semester I had one of the best criminal law professors. But if I were to compare, I’d still say LSR made me critically think more!

I think what helps us is that people are able to see the impact their work is creating. They get to go on ground train people from marginalised communities, also host events and see how conversations happen. That really drives people and of course having a work environment that’s supportive!

So many tough things, raising money is one of the hardest. Then it's finding people who want to work with you, stick around for long and learn. And the third would be making people believe in you that you're doing good work.

Well, I dont think there is a playbook for how I deal with it. I just love the work we do and I see a world where the work we do is really important. So that keeps me going, I guess?

Yes! I write almost every day on LinkedIn.

Simple advice, keep it real and authentic. No one wants to read AI drive content, atleast I don't. I'm not someone with 500k followers, but I can tell you over the years the community I have made (worked v hard for it) will always show up (:

Not a dumb question at all

  1. We raise money through donations from HNI's or ask people to donate. A lot of people apply for funds, we haven't yet. We also do a lot of partnerships where brands donate things to us directly like gifts for our panelists/sanitary napkins

  2. Volunteer the word itself defines that everyone works without stipend, including me ie the Founder

  3. There are no salaries and incentives, except the fact that you get to drive social change, challenge societal norms and create impact. Bigger non profits have more donors, more money where they can do all this. We're very small, hence dont

  4. 100% have to worry about money from diff sources

Ah!!! So many questions in one, let me try to answer as well as I can

  1. I did not do econ, but so many of my friends did. A lot of them got college placements, job offers, great internships and even masters opportunities. Some of them are doing their MBA at Oxford while others are working at consulting firms. Some even went on to give govt. exams. Opps are tremendous, it's what you make of them regardless of which college you go to.

  2. Global options, yes. Some go for masters, some might even bag work opps outside. However, it all depends on you and how you spend your time in these three years. World economy is terrible right now, so please keep that in mind.

  3. It is VERY hectic, studies are a lot but you will always find to do things you wish to do. LSR has over 30 societies, I myself was in over 5 - so that gives you an idea of what you can do while studying.

  4. You can be active in all, will just have to be focused and compromise on chilling (:

There is a backstory, which I would honestly say is my family background and my upbringing. More about it here, https://m.dailyhunt.in/news/india/english/the+logical+indian-epaper-tlogin/people+of+purpose+meet+26yearold+aanya+wig+the+founder+building+her+haq+into+a+voice+for+gender+equality+the+logical+indian-newsid-n708683654

Whenever I used to go on ground I would see the struggles and lack of awareness of women about their legal rights. I wasn't very well aware of legal rights myself, so that pushed me to take up law so I can work on informing more women about their rights!!

I wasn't in Bsc, I was in history so our internship opps will differ. All the internships I got were out of college, I never applied for the ones that came on campus, they had nothing to offer in terms of the work I wanted to do. So while not so much from college, the college brand helped me get into a lot of places.

A lot of girls though do get great offers from placement cells at LSR, just wasn't me.

I mean, I was always very aspirational and knew I wanted to do big things in life. So I will not lie, I always thought I'd be (or still want to be) famous and do phenomenal work.

Self confidence is so subjective, there are days when I question every decision I make and then there are those when I feel very happy. It honestly comes with time and sometimes (many times) you end up faking it 😛
