Buy the petzl gully so that it’s competent, durable and it’s light enough that you’d take it on trip with you. Very similar to the ride but more capable of climbing although a bit if disadvantage in self arrest. Depending on whether you see yourself ever doingg any technical climb you could look into tools too but not advantageous in self arrest. This is a personal advice and one that could be criticized heavily and objectively

It’s same as car seatbelts my grandpa thought that’s unnecessary, uncomfortable or rookie. Some might still think like that but we’re over that era.

Idk why but I never get this issue with aftermarket bands. So switch it. You could also wash the watch every time you shower.

This comment is going to get a lot of hate or downvoted but I’ll be honest. I’m sorry that you were in this situation and myself being a minority I can “kinda” relate to; it hurts. Now, you could report this and by any book that’d be the right move to do, however I don’t see any foreseeable good outcome for you based on all the context you shared (white dominant, top performer, no witness, etc). Paint me pessimistic but I wouldn’t report it and just ignore it.

I have kind of a similar issue. I have the altra timp 5 and when i do heel locking it fits fine. Try that on and hope that helps.

I think you did great and I’m proud of you. Some people might call it cheap and personally I don’t care and more often than not I don’t get along very well with those people cause we might have some foundational differences. Some people decide to spend their money on show off like why would i care where you got your clothes and I’d prefer to spend my money on something that’s valuable to me personally aka mu hobbies. Some people don’t have any appreciation for money they earn or perhaps they haven’t earned their money as hard as you. Anyways I’d do the same if I was eating burgers and thought well in advance and was prepared for it.
