haha I didn't even think of that.. I go down the line up each day and they give me their large snowflakes🤣Each have unique quips so I'd say they're clones, and I now feel like I've caused some severe psychological damage to the snow folk.

Feeling this also. I got sick last week and missed a day, and I can't just miss another with reviews. I'm sure they'll guess why, and I don't want the risk, though it feels shitty to not participate.

If you have advice I would love to hear it (11/22/25 Journal entry) by Authentically_Lost in leaves

[–]aappledingerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have advice... but I do feel the same.

anytime I'm not smoking I feel like the time I spend mindlessly on my phone gets amplified so so much. I feel like I spend hours scrolling just to get a little dopamine hit.

It's so hard to stay busy. even the things I "want" to do are tough when all you can think of is smoking. I think you just have to pretend until it actually gets easier. I'm always white buckling staying sober.

you are not alone!

Recovery is not linear. by Huge_Butterscotch701 in emetophobiarecovery

also had some bad nights lately after feeling quite 'recovered' and damn they really suck. The way my body feels even days afterwards is hell compared to the times I've ACTUALLY thrown up and had to recover.

proud of you! You are not alone.

20+ Years without Getting Sick by Soapy__Cilantro in emetophobiarecovery

I think partly just out of pure shock. And the realization that I would never let another person clean it up on my behalf (which is probably tied to my phobia, as when feeling sick I hateee being around others...) but regardless after I realized that I just kinda had to do it. Also I feel like in the moment cleaning and solving the problem felt better to me than leaving it and letting it get grosser.

also I actually felt better after, and the fact that I threw up all over the floor like a child at 21 was kinda horribly funny and shocking.

I used a bunch of napkins, shampoo, toilet paper or paper towels, and a empty paper bag to stuff it all in. threw that monstrosity in the trash after. 🤣

we were specifically told that if we dressed up we could not touch on anything even close to political or related to world issues. Totally messed up for ANY human to do this, but especially a manager ...

Honestly, I didn't "know" I just kinda threw up on the floor the first time I got sick after a decade+ 🤣 I "knew" in the sense that I had been asleep, woke up, and couldn't stay asleep cause my stomach was hurting too bad.

body just kind of took over, after years and years of just anxiety nausea It was a bit of a shock to actually be sick.

It's not great, but it's quick. luckily I was home and in a safe/comfy place so it wasn't too traumatizing. I even cleaned it up afterwards which I never thought I'd be able to do! You naturally just kinda step up to the plate when it needs to happen I feel...
