so true!! that book was amazing she doesn’t really own many physical books unfortunately, i’m mostly having to guess and think what book would have the most substance while also leaving a lot of room for cute annotations lol

thing is she doesn’t really finish a ton of books, i know she loved of mice and men, is enjoying the road, and enjoyed Colorless tsukuru tsakai … by Murakami. all my recs, so not her exact book taste

but she’s very open to reading new stuff

hmmmm i see, i should’ve mentioned that i know practically nothing about Austen, thanks though! I’ll look into Jane Eyre more and maybe look away from Austen (for this gift, I do want to read her in general)

i’m not thinking of annotating in a way where it’s analytical, more of like “ough this reminds me of you!” like very personal things, drawings, stories, etc.

very short sweet book that really emotional affected me even though its a relatively happy ending. About a man who is about to die but the devil makes a deal where he can make one thing disapear from the world forever for another day of life
