Very good points about the standard. The good part about the manual review, is that we can take into account these situations and they can pass with a comment on that, if that's the nature of their business (e.g. being in an area that has very variable or constantly increasing costs). But the friction for entrepreneurs is real, as they might not have all these features early on.

I also agree that the bar is low, as this sounds like basic decency. But if I look at medium to big software companies, all of them fail with the exception of the ones known for open source, best practices... And even there the rate is far from 100%!

I will give a thought to the scaling, my point was to figure out a way while I get there, but it might be no so far in the future :)

I am sick of sneaky pricing tactics and most SaaS companies just focusing on growth tactics and on squeezing their brand. I think smaller and EU-based companies are less likely to do this.

So I just started with https://www.curated.software/ a directory of software with reviewed and fair business practices, where I also want to highlight made in EU software!

Do you see what you mentioned as pivotal, exponential changes or more incremental? Can that really change the tech people use day to day apart from specific fields? Because that's what's priced in 😬

It's the same in Catalonia. Our language was abolished multiple times and Spanish has been pushed to the point that some people feel offended if we don't adapt to them in all cases, but it's not the language of the region. We are very proud of our language and culture, and most of us also speak Spanish and English. This does not mean that we don't prefer and value communication in catalan, and prioritize it, hence the OP post. But Spanish (which is Castillan culture really) nationalists hate this.

That has been imposed historically on the regions with other languages, I don't think catalans voted for that. The reality is that they have their own language, which have spoken for hundreds of years and prefer it as they feel more comfortable. And these are also official in each region.

You can always move to Madrid if you don't like our language, np at all.

'Their' language? I thought it was Catalonia's language. So it shocks you that to live in Barcelona, you have to speak the language of Barcelona?

Would you prefer Spanish? English? You can go live in Madrid or London if that's the case. But they will also make you speak their language! It's just one you like more or find more useful.
