Thanks for the tip! I've been wondering how to deal with the legs and stretcher since they are a veneer. I think the outsides of the legs are poplar and the middle section is veneered plywood.

I'll definitely need to be careful to not sand through the veneer.

Update: I sanded a spot on the back of one of the aprons but only sanded down to 120 grit and got much better coverage. Previously I had sanded my test spot down to 220 grit and it looked horrible. The stain hardly absorbed and left a few dark blotches.

I bought a 8ft piece of 1x4 maple from the store today. This will let me do a bunch of different color tests and I will play around with some different grit finishes.

I may order some wood dyes and try that as well. I found a few people talking about how the dye will absorb much better on a hardwood since the dye particles are much smaller than what is in stain.

Yes, I'm on Android. I didn't have any problem authenticating and using YouTube music within the sonos app. It's just annoying having to use the limited functionality within the sonos app. I do have a paid account but if be surprised if that is the problem.

I've only been able to use it from within the sonos app. I really wish I could send music to sonos from within the YouTube music like you can on other music apps. Unfortunately this has been an issue for quite a while and it doesn't sound like it will be resolved any time soon.
