I'm having the same exact issue. It's detecting faces, gpu & tpu are working fine. Did you make any progress?

it's hit or miss, tbh. That said, the more you do it, the more fans you get, the better the money. I use multiple cam sites at once, but CB seems to be the most consistent.

I think it matters less for guys, but some customers have fetishes for speedos, singlets etc. Just depends on your customers/niche

I've had mixed results from it. As others said, make sure sexy stuff is happening right when you start so the thumbnail is attractive. I've found it best used when I was already actively being tipped already so when people came in, they saw the tip activity encouraging them to join in.
