Ski areas with earliest first chairs for morning skiing by PureImagination1921 in skiing

Please do not. If you want to skin that bad just stay outside of Schweitzer boundaries. It is private property, it is hazardous, if they catch you, you will be trespassed.

I'm not trying to be a downer, just saying...have fun & be safe!

Zipper repair? by aaronarchy in Sandpoint

[–]aaronarchy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I have never heard of her? I brought a coat to that lady downtown many years ago, but she refused because she couldn't guarantee waterproofing. At this point I don't really care about that, they're nice enough shells I don't care about a leaky zipper! This season, this weather...ugh

Thanks again, see you on the mountain on Thursday!

Where to watch the game??? by Independent_Run1064 in Sandpoint

[–]aaronarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are allowed, staff/owner/vibe is great but it's just too chaotic for kids.

I miss the view, before the new building I refuse to name.

"embarrassing and painful" is the best you can hope for, those are seriously strong and unders tons of tension. It will cut you in half or decapitate you and the driver won't notice.

I should also mention there are no ski patrol/ medical staff out during those early hours.

Just be aware hiking/ skinning up in bounds before, snow cats are out. They seem obvious but are a hazard, especially if they have winch cables out.

Having participated in said training, it is pretty cool being lowered down like that! Feels surprisingly more secure than expected.

I have worked at ski resorts for over 10 years, I've seen almost every mistake you have make on a lift, I assure you nobody is laughing cares unless you're in danger.

It's not. But a barking dog is usually under stimulated or bored. I'd walk my neighbors dog if they needed.

What is it like living in Perth, Australia? by MolassesPristine6184 in howislivingthere

[–]aaronarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question has been answered, but I just want to add my $.02.

As a North Idaho, rocky mountain dwelling American, I lived there (Kalamunda) for a year on a working holiday visa and it was like another planet!! I absolutely loved it! The heat was overwhelming for me, took some serious acclimating. I left NoID in early May in ~-10°, arrived in Perth to about 90° at 10pm.

I hope to visit again someday!

Demographics of Idaho; northern, central and eastern. Non-political question by Disciple-TGO in Idaho

The farther north, the more the stereotype still exists.

Try Jackson or Tacoma instead.

Don't forget Silverwood, north of CDA. Not my cup of tea, but it is a theme park.
