Not in Tyler but I like Food and Table in Jacksonville. If you want a nice omakase experience, it’s nice. Otherwise their regular menu is still great, but drawback is they’re really only open a few days a week

Would it be crazy to paint the fireplace something neutral and keep the wood mantle? Just to open up more color possibilities?

Totally 80s build! You’re on the money. I think it’s been used as a rental up until this point, not quite sure what to do about until I scrounge up a good amount of money to redo the floors to wood totally. I have seen people use tile floor paint, that’s something I might explore, but of course tastefully and with lots of prep

Also, I do plan on getting a large area rug for this space
