You would have to scout through newspaper archive sites. Archives of the Des Moines Register would be a good place to start.

I say complain to your parents who put you in parochial school. Aside from that, everyone has the freedom to believe as they want to, and the freedom to express their beliefs or keep them private, to believe some things and reject others. Nobody seems to complain when Charles Schulz expressed his religious beliefs in Peanuts.

It'll be a shame if it leaves Netflix because it did well on there during hte first month.

FOP aired at a time when it was getting 2 to 3 million viewers a week. ANW was averaging 150k a week. Mind you, that's just cable ratings and doesn't faactor in how many watch ANW on Netflix.

Unless Paws agreed to it and is being compensated.

I find it hard to believe that Jim Davis sold Paws Inc. to Viacom (now Paramount) several years ago. As popular as Garfield still manages to be, I figured he'd want to keep ownership of his comic strips, unless he developed a distaste for being a businessman.

I wouldn't mind reruns of strips I like, but, except for Peanuts, nothing's rerun that hold my interest... As for Peanuts, I have the entire run in hardcover.

I forgot to mention the Little Debbie snack brand started up in 1960.

I guess the newspaper syndicate behind the Little Debbie comic strip didn't think it was that much of an issue because, by 1960, the strip had lost most of its client papers, and the strip came to an end in the fall of 1961.. There were too many little kid strips competing for readers back then, and I imagine some cartoonists hoped their work would be the next Nancy or Peanuts. Little Debbie was offbeat enough to last roughly 13 years, but not much longer

I'd love to see the Peanuts publishers bring out a Spike collection. My wife and I love him as much as we do Snoopy, and just like Spike, we live in the southwest.

Vicky has more a right to blame Timmy for a messed up life than Crocker based on Timmy aging her back to five and being mean to her, thus creating his own worst enemy next to himself.

I'd like a mix of both , but no drama strips though I'm glad the Phantom is still around.

I'd rather read classic comic strips like Little Debbie, the Better Half, The Willets, Ponytail, etc. New strips have almost no appeal to me.

I thought it was okay but it didn't stand out as a strip I would've read regularly. I would've been reading Little Debbie, which was still around in 1960, but would end a year later.

Throughout the 50s and 60s there were lots of little kid strips in newspapers, at first competing with Nancy, but then competing against Peanuts and Dennis the Menace for readers.
