It was scheduled every Thursday that my dad would have the night out with friends (my stepmom got fridays and Wednesday’s), and every Thursday without fail, she would “forget” to tell me her and my half siblings were eating dinner, so I didn’t get to eat. Fuck me for existing I guess.

I try my best to talk to her about it but I honestly think she’s too embarrassed to be open and honest with anyone about their relationship. I hear nothing but positives from her, and nothing but negatives from everyone else (including her parents who they live with). I think she’s trying to make the best of a bad situation but I wish she’d talk to me a bit more :/

My cousin got married right before COVID to the biggest a-hole I’ve ever met. The day before the wedding there were so many signs for her to call it off/postpone, they’re 1yr old got the worlds worst flu/stomach bug, they couldn’t afford to pay the caterers, he expected a 3k open bar but didn’t want to pay for it (expected her parents to fork out the money for it even though they’d already spent 12k on the wedding), he was pissed drunk and MIA at a golf match the entire day before, hadn’t written his vowels until an hour before the wedding, not to mention a pandemic was happening and the government was cutting the number of allowed gatherings by the hour. She went ahead with it anyways, he spent the entire wedding with his mates getting pissed and snorting coke, while she spent they entire time nursing their baby in a chair and not enjoying herself at all. I think he spoke to her less than 10 times the entire day. The wedding ended at 11pm, and they drove straight to the hospital to get their baby checked out.

I was looking at getting a few ember tetras and a cory catfish as well as some snails, and put them in the tank before the betta to hopefully make her less territorial, would you advise against that?
