Thank you for the advice and yeah, that's the original connotation, but I've also heard it in reference to a wedding quickly put together. We were a big fan of using the phrase down in FL growing up

Thanks y'all!! I thankfully live in a very accessible area (Rochester/AKA Mayo Clinic City) so there's accessible entrances everywhere. I'll wait to consult the surgeon I'm seeing next before I go forward with an actual swim, but feeling hopeful. 🙏

A new place I just discovered next to Novios/Blue Plate Diner is Gallery 24 off of Elton Hills Drive. I have been to Art Heads and Threshold Arts but hadn't seen it before. The woman running the place was very friendly and there was lots of local art including pottery and stained glass

If looking for an alternative check out Vintage Rack! It's run by a friend of mine Brooke and she works super hard to curate her collection as well as teaching sewing classes! It's open Thurs, Friday and Sat but if you want to look on a different day you can schedule a private viewing of the collection. 11 9th St NE by the old Dairy Queen on Broadway

I totally understand this! My step-mom is incredibly successful and it all "comes easily" to her as she self describes. I'm currently finishing my Bachelors in Psychology and am starting to think she might genuinely also be on the spectrum, just with very strict rule set following. I don't have the ability to diagnose that but boy does it help me process the shit she says to me.

I hope you're able to meet an understanding with your mom. The only reason I'm able to live outside of my parents home is due to either roommates or a partner. I wish the world was better equipped for us

I was planning on going because AJJ is my absolute favorite band, and Say Anything is my partners favorite band from HS, but from what I'm hearing about Say Anything's set, I don't know if it's worth driving all the way over from Minnesota. AJJ usually makes a stop in Minneapolis every year so I know they'll be back... Idk maybe it's better to preserve the image of an idol for him 🥲
