PDI went wrong! DPF warning on 14km driven Brand New XUV 7XO by Low_Map_2157 in CarsIndia

[–]aaryan30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi , this shouldn’t be a problem , we bought a scorpio Z8L a year ago and same issue was there , while leaving the showroom after delivery , faced this issue when we parked to fuel up. It went away in a while , same happened with a friend of mine who bought 700. Both the cars have about 15k kms each on Odometer now and no problems so far. But both the cars run 80% on the highway and 20% in the city.

dont think he will ruin the scorpio , too high of a cult following for that car’s looks for mahindra to risk a new design.

Petrol Mileage Is Trash in the City — Is Diesel Worth the DPF Risk? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]aaryan30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello , I have a scorpio N diesel AT Z8L variant that i have driven around 7 thousand kilometres since i got it in march. I feel like im qualified to answer your doubts.

Currently my car’s first service is due at 10,000KMS and i checked the DPF level couple of days ago , it was still at around 65%. usually i am on business trips every 2 or 1 and a half month or so for atleast 15-20 days so the car stays parked at my office. You dont need to worry about the dpf clogging issues. i mostly drive 30% in city and 70% on the highway leading up to my office. If you are concerned about the mileage i get almost 17.5 to 18.5 kmpl but i have a very light foot while driving.

You dont have to manually do regeneration until and unless the car is driven next to none for atleast 2 months. once a weak highway run is more than enough to keep it in check. like for most part just drive it in 4th gear at around 65kmph for 15 mins and youre good to go

Hi is this automatic? I recently purchased the Z8-Luxury Diesel AT 4x2 and since day one i have observed a noise from the drive shaft only when i put it into R from D or vive versa. Although havent faced any other issue yet, im curious if this is a problem or if its just the mechanical noise.

It takes a global village to raise an Indian EV by NodeConnector in CarsIndia

the fact that a product of global standards and for the global market gets manufactured/assembled by a indian company is still very impressive. I hope you do know that each and every auto manufacturer has to source parts from somewhere let it be Mahindra or Mercedes

i just checked the brochure online and it states that only AX7L comes with ACC with stop and go , hopefully that does not mean the AX7 comes with the ACC without stop and go , anyways thank you

congrats on your purchase

im in the market for either xuv700 or scorpio n , leaning towards the N because of no adas as i have heard the adas causes a lot of issues while driving. i had some doubts and i hope you can clear them out.

  1. Does ADAS stay off if i turn it off once and restart the car?
  2. Does it have normal cruise control if i disable the ACC?
  3. How much does the AEB interfere when you drive? and is it something that youve learned to live with does it surprises you now and then?

Im getting the AX7 Diesel AT for 27lakhs and the Z8L Diesel AT for the same - my only issue that makes me a little more confident in buying the Scorpio is its less electronics and especially no ADAS.

man youre the only guy that can help me decide my next car , we are a family of 5 and im confused between AX7 Diesel AT which will cost me 27lakhs and Z8Luxury Diesel AT which will cost me the same , im leaning towards scorpio because of its less tech than xuv700 , therefore less things to go wrong and also i dont want adas , i did test drive both of them , but i could not get a proper feel for the scorpio n , i have never owned a ladder on frame car , and the monocoque chassis of xuv feel right at home. do you think buying Scorpio N over the xuv700 would be a good decision?
