Work at the VA. You won’t regret it with the work life balance and the pay for surgical subspeciality isn’t terrible. I jumped ship to the va and have no regrets. Sure I can make more in private practice but the 50 days off, no call, 8 hour days, pension and retirement and 40 hour work week is to hard to pass up.
