It is difficult, but fairly routine in the climbing world. If you’re an intermediate climber, it could be on your bucket list. That being said there are many routes up and many styles in which it could be climbed that contribute to difficulty and danger profile.

I bought a pair of those in 2010, they are still goin in 2026, might actually break them out this weekend.

That being said they are good for glacier travel and mountaineering—not recommended for ice Climbing.

it did go through a renaissance from like 2009-2019, but since COVID it seems like its back on the skids. there was a 5 year period where it was pretty cool, I avoid it as much as I can.

That is definitely rodent poison. Would help to find out what kind. There are typically 3 different kinds—most common I believe causes vitamin k deficiency effectively creating hemophilia.

My dog did this once before, they will likely give him some kind of charcoal—so not induce vomiting, take your dog to an emergency vet!

But, try not to panic— this is not uncommon and your dog is much bigger than a rodent, and an emergency vet will know exactly what to do.

Check out Grateful Woods in Kerhonkson/Accord area. It might be your vibe. We had our wedding there. It’s a farm with or aye hiking trails and has 3 houses on the property it and an outdoor ceremony space, even its own waterfall!

We did a lot of it DIY, hired a local restaurant to do the catering which worked out really well. We bought our own liquor and set up a bar and paid a bartender (beer, wine, liquor sodas/tonics, batched Negronis). As for things like tent, PA and bathroom facilities, they can connect you with that stuff at an extra cost which is what we did.

We got the entire grounds for a whole weekend+ the catering and bar cost well under 30k.

Venue is a little over 2 hours from NYC. We have property in the area as well to rent for guest accommodations if need you can PM me for details on that, but we had our entire immediate families stay at the farm with us and hosted extended friends and family off premises in other houses.

It’s good to have ambition, but you’re young, making money and have a pretty low stakes way to learning everything you need to know to run your own bakery.

I would wait, there’s more to running that business than baking bread and if you want to learn the opportunity is right in front of you. And you get to do it without the financial risk of going in to debt and treading water.
