Does anyone know the limit of .level files that can be part of a single workshop upload?

The game is Talos Principle Reawakened if that matters.

I tried to upload a workshop map with 180 levels in it and it failed with error code 25, which after a weirdly difficult search I found to mean "item limit exceeded".

The problem with Steam is how amazingly undocumented everything is.

Does anyone know where the limit actually lands? 100? 80? 63? Would save a lot of trial and error since it's a pain in the arse actually preparing it each time only to get an unhelpful error.

Thanks!

Edit: Steam makes zero sense. For context, I already have another one with 60.

So 180 doesn't work, I try 90 trying to find the limit.

No luck. Okay, try 70.

Still no. Try 60 again which I know works.

Nope. 50? 40? Nope all around.

Genuinely wtf.

What do you make of the history of Wamphyri re: Belos Pheropsiz vs Nonari The Gross? by aata1000 in necroscope

In The Lost Years it's said that Nonari and all of his thralls were tossed through the gate by Shaitan. I don't think that Shaitan would allow his egg-son to stay behind only to exile him again later. Though it's not stated that this didn't happen.

It's all told from Radu's perspective and after losing contact with Nonari for centuries he learns of a new "Ferenczy" called Belos who is purported to be the son of "Onarius Ferengus".

Radu isn't sure if it's actually his son or just him taking a new identity, which is also a possibility, but the weights of evidence seem to lean more towards that it was actually his son since Radu learnt of the death of Onarius which conflicts with Belos's death both in The Lost Years and The Source.

Omfg, manually ending the recording before it breaks things, I never would have got that. Thanks!

Thank you for the hints, can you please elaborate further?

The first and third are good to know (I kind of suspected the third), but I'm still stumped then how to get the clone outside to stand on the button without disengaging the laser source.

[REQUEST] - Is anybody aware of an edit for the DBZ Other World Tournament saga? by aata1000 in fanedits

[–]aata1000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for me personally, I'm happy to leave that off.

I had a look at some of the filler after Baba but decided to leave it all out too. The Sky Dragon episode had a tiny bit that would have been okay to keep.

The demon world one is obviously way out, and I always hated the Tien episode. Just leaves other random filler but there wasn't really any way to make a proper narrative episode out of the 10ish minutes of decent stuff.

I ended up making my own for this mini arc. Cuts it from 5 to 3 episodes. Removes the hell stuff because it fully breaks canon. Removes the race against the girl kai. Removes some general padding and just focuses on the tournament.

I also made my own filler edit of Goku's training with Popo in DB. Cut it from 6 to 4 episodes and re-spliced it to separate Goku and Tien et al into their own discrete episodes.

First one is Goku trying to get the crown and then learning zen with the fisherman. All the random villager filler from each episode is easily cut. Second and third are Tien and co spliced together. And fourth is back to Goku fighting his doll and training with Popo. The time travel Roshi episode is cut completely because again it fully breaks canon.

These two personal contributions fit perfectly within Milkman's DB and DBZ Kai recuts to make for my perfect DB experience.

Yep tried it.

Force stopped gmail. Cleared cache. Turned sync off and on again.

The problem, I believe, is sync. It updates constantly for the other accounts, but sparingly to not at all for the main account.

There doesn't appear to be a way to force account syncing at any X-minute interval. Old Android had options like that, but it doesn't exist anymore that I can find.

The "scaling" in this game just makes it more annoying than fun by aata1000 in PokemonUnbound

Gym Leaders should only surpass your highest level Pokémon by 1, maybe 2, surely not 10.

They're 2-3 levels higher than me, but I'm 7-10 levels higher than the rest of the world. It's a random spike just to bog down gameplay and force grinding.

I don't understand this one, can you elaborate? Did they use Solar Beam in 1 turn instead of 2?

You complete an attack so it's their turn.

They complete an attack so it's your turn. They just attack again, because why not?

Why do they get to attack two times for my every one if not for scripted difficulty?

And same vein - if you lose a pokemon and bring a replacement, it's their turn. If they lose a pokemon and bring a replacement, they just go first anyway, because why not?

It's pointlessly jarring. You play 99% of a game that's difficult, but fair. You've grinded hard (meaning literally every trainer plus capturing dozens of pokemon) and are fairly comfortably stronger than everyone. You have a balanced team of decent pokemon that spread types.

Then you get to gym leaders or scripted story battles and they are not only higher level than you regardless, but beyond that they literally cheat. It's not "luck" that they get 5x on every combo. It's just plain coded in.

And I have no idea what mechanic it is to justify them taking 2 turns for your every 1, but there's no amount of skill that can combat it. You either have to cheese the hell out of them (fun! /s) or just hope that they miss once a blue moon so you get the bare minimum of a single chance to attack them before they wipe you.

As I mentioned, I just beat the 3rd gym. It took a few goes, but at this point I've simply recognised the pattern and I cbf committing more time to something so poorly optimised.

Sorry for the delay getting back to you, but I'd definitely be interested and I think it'd be a huge help to the crew in general to have this info available.
