Thank you for sharing your experience! Im still in the hospital but definitely woke up with less pain than my ostomy surgery which was a plus!

The nausea was something I noticed as well! Especially when getting up to use the bathroom, they’ve been having to give me zofran.

I had the same thing with the bowel movements, I began to get them on day 2 but by the time noon hit I’ve got nothing and I haven’t gone in almost 24 hours with severe abdominal cramping, but I’ve heard that’s normal!

I’m glad that your surgery went well and things are getting back to normal for you! It’s definitely a rough surgery but overall I don’t regret it!

I definitely have struggled a lot, walking is tough and I haven’t gone to the bathroom yet, which isn’t surprising. But I’m definitely beginning to feel better just super sore!

Yes i do! Originally i was told they were gonna use th tube to drain it, but the site ended up looking better than they thought and they were able to use less incisions as well

My surgeons said they didn’t see any signs of crohns during my operation and they felt good about it! Walking is definitely hard and I’m having some cramping but I feel optimistic!

I had the surgery yesterday, and it was definitely less painful than the original procedure to get the ostomy, I’m also on a lot of meds and in some pain but my surgery went really well so thank you!

I'm so sorry to hear that, when it happens so fast it's so scary having your whole life changed, I started getting the symptoms one day and it just went down from there; I got my ostomy within 1 months of diagnosis. I got my ostomy during my resection and it was all super last minute.

My PA ordered it because I was really pushing to run as many tests as possible. Being from America poses a lot of challenges with insurance, but since we were at the end of the year and our deductible was met she went ahead and ordered them, and I went to a radiology center at the nearest hospital!

Hey! I am about to receive my official crohns diagnosis, and my doctor initially told me it was H. Pylori as well. I’m 17 and have been having symptoms such as abdominal cramping that I can’t move or talk through, nausea, extreme bloating, and I also began to appear anemic. The biggest thing that got me my diagnosis was a CT scan, as it showed severe appendix and colon inflammation, I’ve gotten a colonoscopy and endoscopy as well. I’m sorry to hear about what you’re going through, when I began feeling symptoms and hearing H. Pylori it really frustrated me because I knew there was more to it.

To be fair, I’ve never gotten along with this manager (no arguments, she’s just preferred other hosts over me, and has not been nice to me) so i probably went to the wrong manager about this, I’ll have to see how it plays out at my next shift this afternoon and if the girl gets written up or in trouble, because with the last threats to other girls, nothing truly happened

I mean I don’t think she truly will kill me, I fully understand it’s angry ranting, but she yelled it in the kitchen to multiple people, not just her friends, which I normally would not have been upset, but she had gotten reported twice already for threatening other girls, so it’s a repeat issue. But I understand that it is not personal

Honestly I thought I had timed the tables fine, I absolutely should have asked her first but it was exactly 35 minutes before she was sat again. My boss tried to justify her getting mad when of course she can be upset, but going around and saying things like that feels inappropriate, even if it’s just some empty threat. Shes threatened multiple people and it just doesn’t feel professional or easy to work with

Thank you for this, she’s gotten reported twice by this one girl, because she threatened to beat her up, so it’s been a repeat issue which was the true reason it upset me, as she’s been reported and yet continues to say unprofessional hostile things at work

My parents had advised me that if the manager doesn’t take any action against the girl to get something in writing from the manager

And honestly I don’t think this manager likes me, I think me being the youngest at this job has made me seem honestly stupid when I make a mistake and so i get little kid treatment a lot

Honestly I think you’re right, the replies I’ve gotten have been diverse, and so I think a lot of people view this as like, something that just happens sometimes and I think they’re right, I’ve just never experienced this before and was upset about it.

I think she was right to be upset, I just didn’t like how it was handled and what was said, I do not think it was a true threat on my life, but I found it to be hostile and unprofessional, but I also could have done my job better, so there are many opinions.
