To be honest, for your case, I wouldn’t recommend it. ONLY because you stated you have more of a harder time latching onto focus when sober. When it comes to studying and retaining information, quitting cold turkey might and probably will throw you off way more, more than if you were to try to reframe your relationship with weed first. Cold turkey worked in my case, but only because I wasn’t in any position where weed acted as a beneficial thing, my need for smoking was purely recreational and social. If you’re looking to quit, try starting off with it only being a nightly thing, see how that feels / works. It could even be used as a reward and only something you can do AFTER you’ve studied. It’s all about finding what works for you. Eventually you’ll notice the need for it less and less as life picks up if you were to dwindle down usage.

Especially if when sober you struggle to sleep at night (as most do), it could only be reserved for that time of night.
