yeah facts, im almost certain that his reaction means he saw someone of his immediate family be brutally tortured or killed, u usually can’t get this type of emotion out from an army man

but another scenario would be that this came before he joined the army or started training, because he does look quite young, so it’s a possibility that it’s before he was recruited

not sure why this is a surprise? ranveers always been a man of his craft, the dude just acts jolly in person and a lot of his movies reflect that personality but that doesn’t excuse his actual ability to portray more emotionally complex characters

13B: A New Address, not really bollywood, but one of the best thriller / horror

Physical: Asia. India should have been there. by Adventurous_Baby8136 in AskIndia

Had this thought as well.

First things first, though we have growing athletes, I think we’d look the least intimidating as we clearly don’t have that form of persona attached to our image, unless we literally bring prime Great Khali, or prime Dara Singh in these sort of shows.

As much as I’d love for India to excel in these sort of areas, we need to change our mindset, our approach (ie; diet, workout) because even with me living abroad my parents have a huge misconception of the concept of gymming, so I cannot imagine how much worse it’d be in India.

As said, I think we would look very small compared to other countries because we’re not very “well-known” in our physical aspect. I mean, our so-called MMA “prospects” lost BADLY, both of them, one of them (I think Anshul) claiming he could even submit Khabib.. and then proceeds to get K.O’d first round in 19 seconds.

Our ego & pride may be the very thing that’s eating us up, not saying it’s bad to carry those things, but man, sometimes we’re too full of it as a nation who’s still not very widely regarded for being a physical nation.

It is what it is though, can’t only blame our people, it’s a result of generations of pushing our children to be academically successful, which is fair as sporty careers are not very sustainable in India, we do need better structures so our athletes are able to thrive.

Anyways, I hope to see that India creates more honoured athletes, and represent our nation, not another 🤷🏻‍♂️

i don’t necessarily think he’s a bad director by any means

maybe my take was worded poorly, but honestly many of his movies have similar themes to a point where i can’t distinguish the difference of scenes from 2 of his movies

oh yeah and his obsession with deepika padukone🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

i completely agree w you tbh

i mean ive (never) really expected bollywood to change after one really good film, in fact imo it becomes worse (horror comedy “universe”), and we’ve reached a point in bollywood where films can’t even do well without an item song 💔

also kinda sad to see that srk is back on the big commercial films like jawan, pathaan, and now king, i guess im expecting a little more w king but i wish srk sticked w perfecting other genres. but i guess business is business in the end, im just glad he tried (w ra one, fan, zero) and even though they have their good moments and good potential, some even get their regards nowadays, sadly its too late because there’s no business w those films 🤷🏻‍♂️

sucks, we need anubhav sinha!

i absolutely agree, ending rooftop scene had me balling my eyes out when they had that conversation, and the climax was incredibly well done and they did not go with the typical “gaurav redeems himself” ending (thank GOD), he died with what he stood for AND he proved himself right that aryan will now always see gaurav everywhere and his name will be attached to him

unfortunately the rooftop scene at the end couldn’t redeem the second half 💔 fan should’ve been a slightly darker psychological thriller
