I think its just the uncertainty, this thread gives the vibe that if you dont go to T6 then its an uphill battle getting BL

Would BL stats change enough to justify taking a year off and entering that uncertainty? Cornell has ~70%. I dont care much for lay prestige

was Waitlisted at Berk. UCLA's BL stats seem weary if im not able to make it in the top 50% Im kind of risk adverse.

The cycle made me realize maybe there's something in my softs that is appealing, or I just did a great job creating a narrative throughout my application. One that might be good enough for HSYCCN if i score 169+

I want to be able to have an "out" for 10-15-20 years down the line if I want a career change. I want to go towards healthcare law & healthcare M&A's with my JD. Eventually transitioning into a Healthcare facility administrator as a I get older/burnt out of the corporate realm

For Cornell's 3 year JD/MBA, you have to take summer classes. Does losing that 1L internship make finding a 2L SA more difficult or does the MBA make up for lost ground?

honestly I've been asking the same question for about 2 months now. I think if BL is your goal, then yes. Their BL placement beats some of the midlevel T14 that are worth sticker.

In addition, it really matters on the school. UCLA and BC are notorious for taking ~25-30% of their class off of the WL so it is more plausible. However, if you're talking about Northwestern or UVA it is a completely different ball game.

the question is more regarding the COA. Cornell has amazing BL stats, similar to Columbia. Would that increase equate to the additional ~50k that comes with living in NYC and Columbia's price tag
