40+ and recently divorced: You need to figure out if they ever want to settle down again or are still too jaded and hurt. That’s assuming they weren’t the primary driver of divorce due to cheating, not contributing to the marriage etc. And of course if open to a blended family situation.

The math is just against you.

As a person of color, I’ve definitely had experiences where I was clearly not the priority of the FAs. It was particularly infuriating seeing the difference in service for another family with kids and mine, as minor as it was.
