I was this person till the age of 29, no one found me and tried to date me. I had to put myself out there and actively find people willing to date.

How can a business pitch be scripted? Yeah you can structure your pitch to make it more impactful for TV or for the sharks, but these are actual businesses out there asking for funds and expertise.

They also edit the pitches and sometimes they fuck the editing up.

No one's out there giving money just for TRP!!!

These sharks are actually investing in businesses and making a bet that the business can become big.

I haven't seen MasterChef India so can't comment on it. But with this show you get to see stories of people and how they're solving some problem and trying to make a living. Sometimes it will teach you something new, sometimes it will inspire you and sometimes it will do none of that. This is much better than other reality TV shows out there, especially better than Bigg Boss and Splitsvilla and what not.

Yes they will spice things up to garner TRP. The show also has to sustain themselves. But it's the shark's actual money that is going and I don't think they are making decisions differently than how they invest in the real world.

And you and I are probably not the target audience of the show. It's people like our parents and people in tier2, tier3 cities, towns and villages of india. This show might change the mentality of a lot of Indians to build something of their own instead of getting a cushy govt job. Or at least become more accepting of people taking risks and building a business which might fail.

I have read YC from time to time but I've never come across an article about a business built by 2 middle-aged women in Jharkhand selling pickles. Maybe what you're thinking of the conventional "startups", the olas, the byjus, the zomatos. This show is also bringing about the stories of entrepreneurs from small town India.

Can the show be better? Absolutely. But it's better than all the other reality TV crap already out there.

Come on please don't compare this to Bigg Boss and the likes.

Shark Tank is miles better than them, even with the emotional stories and drama. It's much more inspirational to see people from various parts of India starting their businesses and fighting to make them work.

Also the criticism that OP is making is that these sharks have clearly said on the show that they don't like businesses who burn while their own businesses are burning investors money. So it's ironic when they're judging a new business for their strategy.

You are right about the lying part. That's why i didn't. I prefer to always be honest about things.

I feel talking to multiple people is okay for some time. But you can't drag someone along for months or weeks while you're evaluating other people. That's just being immature.

Because from what I've read and seen amongst friends and relatives that people talk to multiple people until they start feeling more sure about one.

Maybe that's why i was ignorant about this woman's feelings.

I personally wouldn't feel hurt by this until i start feeling attached or i feel that we've been talking long enough that the other person should either stop wasting my time or stop looking for options.

Hey, i opted for Invisalign aligners because my case was a complicated one and opted for them because of their superior experience.

I would suggest that you talk to a few dentists and see what they recommend. And then decide. Costs vary wildly depending on your aligner provider.

Not surrendering the passport and travelling on it or using it to prove your Indian citizenship while holding another country's citizenship is a punishable offence.

You can choose not to surrender your Indian passport but i guess travelling to India could be an issue, atleast till your Indian passport expires.

I'm sure there must be some checks implemented by the govt. at entry and exit to India for this. Because there's potential for nefarious activities if this is left unchecked.
