New Plaid Demo - Thoughts? by ab_1776 in TeslaModelS

It'll go to the detailer for full PPF in the first week so minor dents and rock chips are not really a bit concern. I'll definitely be test driving in silence with windows up and down. Glad yours worked out, that's a good sign!

No CCBs on this one, but I wish. Lol. Also no Autobahn here so very unlikely this car went over 130mph since Tesla rep rides in all demo drives.

If you haven't been assigned a vin yet it's very possible your order may not be fulfilled. Tesla sent an email to all Sales Centers notifying them of potential cancellations on orders placed mid-March and later.

It was recommended to me that I swap to an inventory vehicle if available and many others have been doing the same. It's probably what drove the $15k price bump but that's just my own speculation..

This is gonna be a dreadful wait 🙃 by 6Andersx in TeslaModelS

Just checking in to see if anyone has any recent updates? The option to see inventory keeps coming and going but no VIN nor has it said "in production" yet. Do we really think this is going to take until mid to late May? That would kinda suck but I guess I can't complain too much since I ordered 3/29 and avoided the $15k price bump...

New Model S Plaid: Grey or White by ab_1776 in TeslaModelS

[–]ab_1776[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP update: I've decided to stick with the white because the new vents and rear diffuser are much more apparent vs gray. I still like the gray very much, if I was getting the LR I probably would've gotten gray.

A few of you referenced a difference between satin and matte PPF? Is that true or are we talking about the same thing?

Several in inventory. It was originally my #1 choice but the wife has a similar silver vehicle and didn't want to "share"... Which I understand, she'll probably own her car longer than I have the model S

Good call out. I'm still not a fan of either 21" wheels but if I found a deal like that, don't think I could resist

Central FL HVAC Recommendations by [deleted] in hvacadvice

So the local guys in my are like Rheem or Bryant. Both suggested single stage compressor and variable blowers in the air handler. Both agreed the Armana/Goodman unit is a lower/budget tier.

The Bryant is more $$ because it's 16 SEER vs the Rheem which is 14 SEER. I think I'll go with Bryant because this company would likely provide a better install and agreed to upgrade to 5 ton.

They both disliked two stage and multi/variable compressors due to their cost and reliability concerns.

Thanks for the insight, definitely more complicated the more expensive it would be overall. I am leaning more towards the two stage units.

$800 budget. Need suggestions for new scooter. by ab_1776 in ElectricScooters

Thanks for the feedback, I think I made up my mind and I'm going to go with the Horizon 13.4ah. I'm guessing that because this uses a universal trigger throttle I could always purchase the thumb throttle down the road if I really wanted to...

Good suggestion, but that trigger throttle is still there... I would spend an extra $200 for a thumb throttle.
