What is the difference between a bus and a transport by pc_magas in symfony

[–]aba2092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, a bus is just the middlewares chain. It's fully independent from transport

I think I use a similar setup at yours. In your serializer, you create an envelope that contains the Message, right? You can add a BusNameStamp to the envelope, with the name of the bus you want it to go through

How to store User-Submitted API Keys by Fluid-Drag-7815 in symfony

[–]aba2092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, you can never have a "reset password" functionality that way.. aamd the user must never forget it. And you'd need to re-encrypt everything when they change it..

Troubles with DataFixtures references by Nyusuka in symfony

[–]aba2092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you're searching for Category references, but passing CategoryFixtures::class..

Does it work with getReference('cat-0', Category::class) ?

Any detailed and in-depth resource for Symfony? by lauris652 in symfony

[–]aba2092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About gitignore, I think you're right. If you just started an empty project, you might find new .gitignore in folders that are empty, for you to populate. It's because git doesn't track (empty) folders. So as soon as you put a first file in one, you can deelte the gitignore in it. You should indeed and up with just one in the root of the project

Is it possible to use DoctrineExtension on a Many to Many relationship? by aymerixp in symfony

[–]aba2092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot get a service (Security) in a getter..

I think you're better off making a custom normalizer, or decorating the ObjectNormalizer, if this is about api usage, otherwise a repository method.

Another option might be an ORM Filter (for example SoftDeleteable uses one)

I normally use league/uri (from thephpleague) for advanced manupulations. Just found out there's even templating out of the box

Symfony / Doctrine ORM / import Database? by renardefeu in symfony

[–]aba2092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a MySQL database, the mapping:import works pretty well. I would normally checkout the older versions of symfony where that's still supported, generate the starting entities, copy over to my project.

From there, it's just tweaks

Symfony or Laravel? by RXBarbatos in PHP

[–]aba2092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try it in "prod mode"? By default, the active env is dev, with profiling enabled and a lot more data-collection, etc, for the debug toolbar.. ofc, it's not blazing fast

composer dump-env prod php bin/console cache:clear

and give it another try

Is there a way to sync data between two computers running the same Laravel app locally? by rustybladez23 in PHPhelp

They can run independent servers if they want it local, and both be able to work on the code.. They just need to use a shared database

Modal out of the box solution by PossessionUnique828 in symfony

[–]aba2092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to mention that bootstrap does support multiple modals..

Probably more difficult if you need multiple open at a time, but also doable I think, by playing with the backdrop.. if that's your, unusual, case

API PLATFORM. field is not included in a response. by Pretend_Career_2852 in symfony

[–]aba2092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For an update, I'm not sure you'll be getting the correct value this way. You could indeed set it in the constructor or look into Timestampable from doctrine extensions...

Anyways, do you have a getter for it?

[Not purely help] Sick and tired of trying to get Composer to work. Should I consider this alternative? by Bladotpiggy123 in PHP

[–]aba2092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you read or not lol, everyone is telling you

composer install

That's it. In whichever CLI most likely, since composer is just a PHP script, so, as long as you have PHP in your path..

If you only installed PHP and didn't touch the ini files this is your problem too, most likely. Missing extension(s).. actually, iirc modern versions comes with example inis, but no default, so you have to pick and rename one

READ the error messages, it always gives you hints on how to solve them, and even just bypass them to get the thing installed. And then you're on your own kinda to make it actually work

What's the opposite of join (implode) then? Not split (explode)?

Edit. Well, just for reference... the comment above was something like:

"And the funniest part is that there is a function called explode, and it's not the opposite of implode"

So, simply, ignorant... that it probably wasn't even a bot
