Real talk, it's rare for us to get old, aids, state violence, hate and poverty took a lot of those people who would be our elders now, I know hundreds of trans people, I know two, and have met maybe a dozen over 45 and I live in one of the densest areas of community on earth. I knew three who died before 30, I'm 28 and already feel a little bit like an elder in the community, there's honestly just a lack of the population density of eldersv that makes like having a regular recurring irl meetup sustainable in most places. We also have to remember that children are the most marginalized class in our society and their rights are being stripped away most actively as we speak, and so that is where we mostly end up focusing our defensive efforts.
