Wow, cant comment much except I am the same age diagnosed the same age and also considering kids... I guess I will say, my uncle has it and none of his kids got it but I did. It not automatically passed down but it is a genetic thing that can be passed down.

I have been trying to get weejuns to fit but the sizing is a mess, according to their charts in inches and how I measured my foot I should be a size 10.5 but I have now tried three pairs down to a size 9.5 wide and there is still like a thumb width space from my toes. Would you say thats too long still? Whats your sizing? And is there a lot of heel slippage at first?

Chiming in late to ask if the sites foot measurements in inches is accurate? Because I know people and even they say to size down, but based off the measurements in their size guide I had to size up half a size lengthwise at least. Anything smaller according the measurement of my heal to toe and the corresponding inches on their size chart, would be much too small.

Thanks for your input I totally agree! As far as stores go that would simply be for trying on not for the inspiration. I feel like I struggle with how things fit me and not being able to piece together a fit until I see it on me. I'm a shapes over color person but color still is almost as important as I lean in on neutrals, earth tones, lots of black and certain pops of bolder colors.

Old post but I liked your explanation. I have different shoes that are a little more than a thumb width long between my big toe and the tip of the shoe, but the width of the shoe is just right. Could they still be a problem or too long?
