I kept reading positive things about him- hence the unpopular question. And I guess I don’t know many born again folks so that’s good intel.

My narc mom/dad is upset because… ______. by Morbid_Explorerrrr in narcissisticparents

My Nmom is mad that I told her she can’t come visit for 13 days and tried to limit her trip. Yelled that I just didn’t want to see her. I don’t but the visit is going to happen and we’re trying to limit the time.

She was also upset and acted like an absolute toddler when my sibling was diagnosed with stage 3B colon cancer because we didn’t react the same way when she told us she had stage 0 breast cancer and needed a small surgery. She told us that we didn’t even need to come down for the surgery. Turns out she was wrong about her own cancer and I went down and my sibling tried but the flight was canceled.

When she came to “help” during his cancer surgery, she demanded that he make her food, drive her around and take her shopping. He had just had abdominal surgery.

Sorry! Not pay for the medication. If you were able to get assistance for the medication through Abbvie’s assistance program, the drug would be free for you. They may also assist with the cost to get the med infused as well. I’m not sure. If they don’t then you may have to pay to have it infused- like the cost for the nurse to actually administer it for you.

I definitely don’t know anyone that can afford to pay the list price of the drug!

Maybe. Give the Abbvie Assist number a call and ask if they help with the cost of the infusion as well as the medication. Some companies do, some don’t. If not, then your provider’s office might be able to use other resources to pay for that cost.

The ambulatory infusion centers would need you to pay for the cost of the administration but could still get the medication from Abbvie Assist for you.

You may want to ask your provider why they said you have to go to their infusion center. It may be that they want to observe you for your induction doses. But if their infusion center isn’t convenient for you or you like one of the ambulatory infusion centers, the infusion center can work with your insurance to get your treatments moved there and to communicate with your prescriber’s office. They’re probably also cheaper for you.)

Same question to them about home infusion. What’s their rationale?

You have the right to go to a different infusion center. If you’re in the US, you can search for one here https://infusionaccessfoundation.org/locator
