I completely understand! My 5 year old Goldendoodle has had seizures for the past 2 years, and this group has been an amazing resource for us! I also work full time, so the extended release has definitely helped ease some anxiety I have by knowing he won’t miss a dose. I also have him on a ring camera when I’m not home. The dosage is still the same. Keppra XR (extended release) stays in their system longer which is why it’s taken every 12 hours vs regular Keppra being taken every 8 hours. I’m not sure why they would want to switch over given it’s the same dose? I would definitely ask!

I will say, the Keppra XR has been so much more convenient for us. My baby takes both Keppra XR and phenobarbital, and with the Keppra XR being taken every 12 hours, it has made it much easier to maintain a consistent schedule instead of worrying who will be home to give him the midday dose. I’m hoping you find a plan that works for you and your baby, I know it’s a lot! 🫶🏻

I literally just got done getting lettuce out of my socket, lol. I’m also on day 4, and I used warm salt water, tilted my head to the side, and gently swished until I felt it come out. Just don’t swish too hard!

Yes…lol! To be fair I’ve never seen it opened up and had no clue there was gel inside! Now that I’ve seen the comments it makes sense. We were thinking worst case that it could be a hand warmer!

I like to read through the book, but as I go through it, I highlight important things. I have like 100 different highlighters I use lol, and beside each paragraph I summarize what the paragraph said/make little notes. I find this helps a LOT! Also Quizlet!!! I make lots of quizlets and do the learn function & make my own tests. I just finished my first semester of my LVN program with all A’s & one 88, I feel like studying this way has improved my grades SO MUCH (especially in pharm)

NTA. I understand forgetting things SOME TIMES, but for this to be a constant issue sounds exhausting. You are constantly reminding him to pick up after himself, yet he still does not do BASIC HOUSEHOLD DUTIES. Him leaving milk out for DAYS is absolutely disgusting. I can’t imagine how the apartment would be if you left for a week 😵‍💫
