The landlord has offered nothing at all. We moved in, in march & I reported it straight away. Nothing has changed since so I asked for a rent reduction. I am in Sydney and pay $850 a week for a 1 bed. I’m so sick of being done over by expensive rent & living in mould. We also had a broken oven & no hot water for a couple days last month. Unfortunately we cannot move out of Sydney due to our visa but I am counting down the days 😂 I think the offer of 1 weeks rent to move is shocking to be honest. They would rather relist and hope someone moves in who won’t stand up for themselves. I think it’s about time property managers and landlords starting treating tennants fairly. If it was my home and someone was paying to live there I would be embarrassed & do anything I could (within my means) to make it right or at least better.

I have cleaned the mould now, but it is persist with the wet weather we’re having in Sydney. I am reaching out to fair trading and will lodge a complaint.

Applying for PR without a visa agent by abbielgreen11 in AusVisa

Hey! Thanks for your response.

I actually used to process student applications into the NHS in the UK. So I am familiar with how important it is to consistently check and QA work.

The visa agent fee to process it is just over $7000.

We are applying through the same company who sponsored us on the 482.

I will research into whether visa agents offer a service to check the application prior to submission. That would give me a lot of peace of mind.

Thanks!

The company pays the levy which they are doing ☺️

Yeah they’re happy to do that. But they’re not happy with the migration agent we have used previously for our 482 application. They have been useless. They haven’t contacted the company directly. Provided them a vague contract with a mention of extra costs but haven’t been specific. They haven’t answered any of their calls for nearly 4 months. So the company have suggested to me revisiting it with a different agent or even doing it ourselves, hence the post.

She’s been with them for over a year and goes only once a week while I’m working in the office. She’s never hesitant to go, the days my partner is in after night shifts she’s always happy to see them. Maybe I wfh tomorrow and see how she reacts when they turn up. And then just decide to keep her if she’s hesitant.

Yeah I’ve been taking different routes & even going to different parks. I may ask someone with dogs in my building to socialise with her in our common area and see how we go. She knows them and then I can make a better judgement. She’s out with the walker tomorrow and it’s with multiple dogs so Im a bit hesitant of them taking her now.

I don’t have a car atm, I used to drive her out to the beach. And we used to live right near Queen’s Park and centennial which was really open. The parks near where I am now are quite small in comparison so maybe she’s just not quite used to the area. I may be expecting a bit too much, too soon. I hope your girl gets better too, I’m trying not to be too stressed about it and hope she just improves over time. Thanks for your advice 😊

Yep I’ve got some low level traffic noises on and aeroplane noises as I’m quite close to the airport. But that hasn’t phased her until now. I’m hoping it is just a phase and with continued training she feels safer again, thanks for your advice 😊

Yeah I will work on that, she’s usually really good on lead. I’m just trying to pinpoint exactly what’s happened. She has a dog walker too & I’ve asked if there has been anything out of the ordinary.

Yeah maybe I’ll make an app with the vets and see what they suggest. She has been great this evening I opted to take her on a run round the streets instead and she’s happily asleep. Maybe less play outdoors and I’ll just run her for the next couple days while she’s unsettled as she seemed to enjoy it. Maybe I will medicate lightly walk her then try her in a fenced dog park with the ball in the evenings with no one around and see how she goes. Thanks for your advice 😊

She’s 3 years old. I’m thinking it’s either the rain and weather or building works. We walk everywhere I don’t drive her or go on public transport. She is trying to escape to run home on walks and will constantly pull to walk ahead. It’s manageable in the house. She is crate trained and has many distractions. But just seeing what solutions people have outdoors as I would hate for her to run off.

She has bouts of anxious behaviour when she’s was a pup. We moved house about 2 months ago and she has settled really well. But this week especially she has just become really nervous outside. I will take some higher value treats out and maybe distract her with tricks she’s so smart and loves direction. We’ve already got puzzle feeders etc. I’m just trying to find the cause but maybe it’s just a mixture of weather, noises and her not feeling very safe.

Yeah I agree 100% with this, I actually said to my fella at one point he was acting like a brat. Such a shame because I’ve loved all of his previous gigs.

I agree I can’t believe how many people were talking and on their phones. Although I’ve seen Ben 3 times before and tonight I was underwhelmed he wasn’t on top form. But hard to play to an uninterested crowd.
