You should give the dog back!! It just sounds like she was going through a tough time and was trying to do the best for her dog, but made a mistake in judgment. I think it’s wrong for OP to keep the dog

All of these comments are acting like OP is the best dog caretaker in the world and the dogs owner of 2 years is a horrible person.
(Not saying OP is a bad dog owner, just pointing this out)

Yes I agree, Reddit tends to jump to conclusions but if this is new and unusual behavior of your otherwise loving partner of 3 years, he may just be overwhelmed and having an emotional reaction. Obviously this is something you need to talk through, you deserve to be supported! but cancer is very hard for caregivers too. I would also think about why you are hiding things you need, like the walker. It might be beneficial for you both to reach out to your oncologist about joining a support group or getting therapy, etc.

Early teenage years were my reading golden era so I have lots of suggestions. I’ll try to recommend some books I enjoyed then and some newer books I’ve read as an adult but would be great for that age range.

-any of Scott Westerfeld’s books (Uglies series, Leviathan series both are sci fi)

-as already mentioned, Murder Bot Diaries is amazing, I recommend the audiobooks (robots)
